Paul Giannoni was born in 1926 and grew up in Elberton, Georgia, and passed away on March 13, 2009. He was the son of Joseph and Victoria Giannoni. Paul served in the US Army Pacific Theater in Korea during World War II and graduated from the University of Georgia.Paul was co-owner of Central Granite Company in Elberton and served as the Elberton Granite Association President. He also served on the Board of the First United Methodist Church as well as managing the construction of Samuel Elbert Academy’s gymnasium. Paul enjoyed life, friends, projects, and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was appreciated for his great sense of humor. Paul is survived by: loving wife of 59 years, Janie Giannoni, daughter Brittiany Wright, son Gary Giannoni (wife Pat), and grandchildren Courtney Giannoni Kessler (husband Luke) and Keegan Giannoni, sister Elma Giannoni Myers and brother preceded in death, Joe Giannoni.
