Pauline Evans Daniel, 85, of 2162 Pauline Daniel Road, Elberton, wife of Charles Edward Daniel, went to be with her Lord at Athens Regional Medical Center on Friday evening, July 2, 2010 with her family by her side following a brief sudden illness. Born on September 22, 1924 in Coosawhatchie, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Paul Evans and Hazel Newman Evans Teasley. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the Elberton First United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Daniel served as bookkeeper for Elberton Tool Company for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Donald; and step-father, Gilmer “Daddy T” Teasley. Pauline was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Charles Edward Daniel of the home; son and daughter-in-law, C. Martin and Ann Daniel of Newnan; grandchildren, Evan Daniel of Hogansville and Zakery Daniel of Hampton; and sister and brother-in-law, Lila and Charlie Ogletree of Kentucky. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, July 5, 2010 from the Chapel of the Hicks Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Smith and Mr. Roy Hartley officiating. Pauline will be laid to rest next to her son, Donald, in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-11AM Monday at Hicks Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home, 2126 Pauline Daniel Road, Elberton. Flowers will be graciously accepted, or you may make donations in her honor to the Elberton First United Methodist Church. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Pauline Evans Daniel.
