Pauline Reid Taylor

Born in Macon County / Cowee Community in Franklin, NC she was a daughter of the late Andrew Willburn Reid Sr. and Cora Lucille Jones Reid. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, she was a school teacher for 13 years, and co-owned / operated Ace Hardware with her husband. Survivors include a daughter Prudence A. Taylor of Greenwood, SC, a son and daughter-in-law Ralph B Taylor Jr. and Mary Taylor of Fredericksburg, VA, a sister Dorothy Tessier of Ocoee, FL, and one grandchild Mollie Taylor. She was preceded in death by a son Clint Taylor, a sister Mildred Strauss, and a brother Andrew Willburn Reid Jr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 26, 3PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will be at the home and will receive friends from 6-8PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Harris Little, Detrick Little, and Taylor Little. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her honor to the First Baptist Church of Elberton, or the Elbert County Library.
