Peggy Ashley Parham

Peggy Joyce Ashley Parham, 83, of Spring Valley Health Care Center, formerly of Hartwell Highway, wife of the late Jackie Delano Parham, passed away Saturday evening, June 18, 2016, the nursing home.

Mrs. Parham was born in Anderson County, SC, May 12, 1933, daughter of the late Lemuel Charley Ashley and Elsie Mae McClellan Ashley. She was a member of Elberton First Baptist Church, and worked at Southern Bell, Brown Transport, and Elberton Wal-Mart.

Left to cherish his memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Bobby Almond, Lisa J. and Adrian Floyd, and Michelle Parham, all of Elberton; brother, Wallace D. Ashley of Honea Path, SC; five grandchildren, Paul Almond, Tabitha Adams, Brandon Floyd, Adrisa Walker, and Drew Cochran; and nine great-grandchildren, Kyler Almond, Anastasia Almond, Tristian Almond, Alyria Walker, Brayson Walker, Caiden Floyd, Adylyn Walker, Braelee Walker, and Lona Elise Adams.

She is preceded in death by siblings: Argyle Welborn and Nancy Smith.

Graveside memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 3PM Tuesday, June 21, in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30PM Tuesday, prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made in her honor to the charity of one's choice.
