Peggy Louise Eaves

Ms. Peggy Louise Eaves, 56, of Elberton, Georgia, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013, at Nancy Hart Health Care surrounded by her loved ones. Peggy was born to the late Charles P. (Beffy) Eaves and the late Mrs. Martha King Eaves on February 13, 1957. She owned and operated the Rock Branch Beauty and Barber Shop in the Rock Branch area for 23 years.She also owned and operated Miss Peggy’s Playhouse for numerous years.She worked for Camp Harmony as the Camp Director for 6 years following her father’s death.She coached basketball from 1989 through 2002.She was the team captain for the Rock Branch Honey’s from 1998 – 2008 and was on the Relay for Life Board for 6 years. Ms. Eaves is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Michele Dougall of District Heights, MD and one son, Michael Nathaniel Dougall of Annapolis, MD.She has four grandchildren:Britteny Mobley, Lorenzo Dougall, Michael Nathaniel (MJ) Dougall, Jr. and Odessa Dougall.She is also survived by two brothers and their spouses, Charles P. (Chuck) and Connie Eaves and Frank H. and Pam Eaves all of Elberton.She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews along with three great nieces and one great nephew. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Linda Eaves. Memorial services to celebrate Peggy’s life were held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Visitation preceded the service at 2:00 p.m.Inurnment was held at Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
