Peggy Edwards Hudson

Mrs. Peggy Ann Edwards Hudson, 84, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Nancy Hart Nursing Home. Mrs. Hudson was born July 15, 1931 to the late Jim Frank and Daisy Worthen Edwards.She was the widow of Robert T. “Bobby” Hudson, Sr.Mrs. Hudson worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Elbert Memorial Hospital, and then later worked as a secretary at Elbert County Comprehensive High School. Mrs. Hudson is survived by a son, Robert T. Hudson, Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Sparta; a daughter, Katrina Dye and her husband, Kent, of Elberton;two grandchildren: Drew Copelan and Robbie Hudson; and four great-grandchildren: Hunter Copelan, Parker Copelan, Eli Hudson, and Walker Hudson.She also leaves behind three sisters: Marjorie Edwards Crump of Hartwell, Betty Edwards Edmunds of Elberton, and Frances Edwards Dyson of Washington. In addition to her husband, Bobby Hudson, Sr., Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Edwards Flowers, and a brother, Shelby Edwards. Visitation for family and friends was on Thursday evening, October 15, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home.A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nancy Hart Resident Activity Fund at 2117 Dr. George Ward Rd., Elberton, Georgia 30635.
