Philip Markley Bell

Philip Markley Bell of Florence, Oregon and Longmont, Colorado passed away on January 14, 2025, at the young age of 84, next to his son and granddaughter, Rachel, in Eatonton, Georgia.

He was brilliant - a former IBM Engineer and literal chess master. 

He was a major flirt and very much a respectful ladies’ man which apparently got passed on through the generations.

He was married twice, first to Peggy, the mother of his two children, Kevin and Jennifer. And then again to JoAnne, the love of his life and the mother/grandmother to an amazing young woman named Amanda. They raised her through some hard times and the proof of their love is very obvious when you meet Amanda. He ended up with 3 grandkids and completely amazing 12 great grandkids.

His remains will be scattered at the family tree in Longmont, Colorado, then again in his beloved Rocky Mountain National Park, and finally next to his wife, JoAnne at his home church in Florence, Oregon.
