Phillip Alan Robertson

Mr. Phillip Alan Robertson, age 71, of Elberton, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. 

Phil was born in Madison, WI on May 26, 1953, son of the late Roy Milton Robertson, Jr. and Susan Meier Ortiz. A jack-of-all-trades, he worked many careers during his lifetime, including driving a bus, heating and air conditioning, and as a fireman and emergency medical technician. His passion life, however, was music. He played music for most of his life and proudly was a member of country band Southern Comfort Express. 

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tonya Robertson of Lexington; step-mother, Susan Robertson of Arnoldsville; grandchildren: Jake Robertson, Jared Robertson, and Gena Mattox; great-grandson, Ryland Robertson; siblings: Ginger Chalmers, Kathleen and Lloyd McCants, Lori and Leonard Fleming, and Peggy Hager; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Nancy Winterbourne and Donnie Schroeder. 

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date by the family.
