Mrs. Phyllis Hall Stone, age 61 of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Warthen, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Debbie Giles will officiate. The family will receive friends on the day of the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Stone was born on October 6, 1961, the daughter of the late Hollis H. Hall, and the late Helen Harrison Hall. She was a graduate of Brentwood School, Truett McConnell University and the University of Georgia. Phyllis began her teaching career as a student teacher in Elbert County and remained there until her retirement. She was very musically talented and could play many instruments and was an accomplished vocalist. Phyllis was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi. She had a great love for dogs. In addition to her parents, Phyllis is proceeded in death by her husband, John Stone.
Mrs. Stone is survived by her brother, John Hall and his wife Laurie of Savannah; nephews, Scott Hall and his wife April of Savannah, and Shane Hall and his wife Colleen of Chicago; great niece, Autumn Hall; and great nephews, Cade Hall and Hollis Hall.
