Rachel V. Worley

Mrs. Rachel V. Worley, age 87, of Elberton passed away October 13, 2009. Mrs. Worley was born in Elbert County to James William Johnson and Allie Jones Johnson.She was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and lifelong resident of Elberton.She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William LaFayette Worley. She is survived by her daughters, Annette (husband, William) Boswell of Elberton, Laverne (husband, Bobby) Payton of Elberton, Norma Faye (husband, Larry) Garrett of Royston; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank (wife, Mabel) Johnson of Elberton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 15 at 3:00 PM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. Douglas Huff, Rev. Virgil Manning, and Shane Cox officiating.Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.The family will receive friends Thursday 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
