Ralph Lanier Chattin, 85, of Blue Hole Road, Elberton, husband of Stella Delores Wacaster Chattin, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Heritage Hospice in Marietta. Mr. Chattin was born in Canton, GA, April 20, 1928, to the late Quincy Albert and Lora Pugh Chattin. He was a member of Toonigh Baptist Church in Canton, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Stella Delores Wacaster Chattin; sons, Johnny Albert Chattin of Elberton, Timmy Chattin of Canton, and Wayne Chattin, both of Canton; daughters, Diane Shaham of Jasper, Nina Walden of Canton, and Lora Kirt Chattin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, at 1:00p.m. in the Chapel of Sosebee Funeral Home, 191 Jarvis Street, Canton, GA 30114 with the Revs. David Kight and Tim Adams officiating. Cremation will follow the service at Berry Crematory in Elberton. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home, 191 Jarvis Street, Canton, GA 30114, from 6:00-9:00p.m. Tuesday evening.
