Reuben Ben Kelley, 66, of Elberton, died on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the home of Scott and Melissa Smith. Born on September 24, 1943 in Madison County, he was the son of the late Bunyan Monroe and Flora Essie Kelley.He was retired as a machinist with Wilson Electric and served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelley is preceded in death by his brother, Dewey Rose Kelley. Survivors include daughters, Mary Hope Smith, and Kimberly Denise Kelley; sons, Reuben Lee Kelley, and Vincent Brian Kelley; stepdaughter, Melissa Smith; sister, Brenda Faye Damron; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.Several other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 3PM at the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. The family is at the home of Scott and Melissa Smith, 286 Highland Park, and will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday evening at Hicks Funeral Home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Reuben Ben Kelley.
