Richard Edmunds

Mr. Richard Edmunds, 85, of Elberton, husband of the late Betty Joan Edwards Brooks Edmunds, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Mr. Edmunds was born April 22, 1936 in Appling, GA to Thornton Edmunds and Inez Blanchard Edmunds. He was retired from the City of Elberton Water Treatment Plant.

He is survived by a sister Lila Bentley of Greenwood, SC and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by brothers Mack Edmunds, Eugene Edmunds and sisters Carolyne Palmer, Bessie Thornton, Glenda White, Annette Brantley and Blanche Winfrey.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
