Robert Andrew Wilson

Mr. Robert Andrew Wilson, 69, of Moon Rd., Bowman, GA husband of Sandra Gail Pitts Wilson passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Wilson was born January 12, 1947 in Roanoke, AL to James Olin Wilson, Sr. and Marietta Adams Wilson. He was a member of Bowman Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from Americas Home Place.

Survivors include his wife of the home Sandra Gail Pitts Wilson; sons and daughters-in-law Robbie and Kathy Wilson, Anthony and Erica Wilson all of Bowman, GA; brother and sister-in-law James Olin Wilson, Jr. and Marty Wilson of Sun City, FL; sister Rebecca Smith of Evans, GA; sister-in-law Carolyn Wilson of Perry, GA and five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Amanda Kay Wilson; brother William Merrill Wilson and brother-in-law Dr. Gerald Smith.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM, Tuesday November 29 at Bowman Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Petty and Rev. Samuel Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Hull Cemetery with Ken Gabriel, Harry Willoughby, Terry Adair, James Mullins, Anthony Hill and Roger Thrasher serving as pallbearers. The family will be at the home on Moon Rd., Bowman and will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday night at Berry Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson will be placed in the church to lie in state just prior to the service Tuesday from 10:30-11AM.
