SFC Robert “Bob” A. Burrow, Jr., 86, of Royston, Georgia passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at home with his family at his side. Born in Spruce Pine, Alabama, Mr. Burrow was the son of the late Robert Augustus and Ruby Greene Burrow.He was the beloved husband of Donna Jordan Burrow, with whom he had celebrated 65 years of marriage.Mr. Burrow retired as Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, during which time he also worked as a Federal and State Game Warden.He later became the proprietor of Stinchcomb Granite Company. In addition to his wife, Donna, Mr. Burrow is survived by his children:Micki Giles and husband, Michael, and David Burrow and wife, Melissa, Donna Corbett, and Robbie Rokaskie; and grandchildren: Rhonda Giles Lyle, Waymon Smith, Tonya Dozier, Mitchell Burrow, Jessica Terry, Krystal Burrow, Warren Giles, Kayla Burrow, Chelsea Burrow, Natalie Rokaskie, Victoria Rokaskie, Ryan Dutton, Matthew Brown, Brad Brown, and Mark Teague.He also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Montgomery of Russellville, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Mr. Burrow’s life was held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Jordan and Chaplain Oliver officiating.Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors. A time of visitation began at 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Flowers were graciously accepted, and memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 10 Glenlake Parkway, South Tower, Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30328, or the Ronald McDonald House at 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673.
