Robert Douglas Standard, Sr.

Robert Douglas Standard, Sr., 44, of 440 Hattie Sutton Road, Tignall, passed away Monday morning, December 26, 2011, at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington. Mr. Standard was born in Wilkes County, March 6, 1967, to Mary Price Thurmond and the late Douglas Guin Standard. He was a truck driver. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Robert Standard, Jr., Kyle Standard, and Sable Vanhart, all of Washington; and mother and step-father, Mary P. and William Thurmond, Jr. of Tignall. The family has chosen cremation, and memorial services celebrating his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Tignall Baptist Church, 170 South Hulin Avenue, Tignall, Georgia 30668. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.berryfh.com.
