Robert Drew Evans

Mr. Robert Drew "Bob" Evans, 77 (1942-2019), died Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Piedmont Athens Hospital in Athens, GA following a lengthy illness.

He leaves wife of 59 years, Foye "Polly" (Palmer) Evans; his sons: Kenneth D. Evans, Waycross, GA and Robert Carl Evans, Albuquerque, NW; has daughters: Elizabeth Evans Hope (Rodney), Waycross, GA and Jacqueline A. Evans, Colbert, GA: his brother, Richard O. Evans (Chris), Barberville, FL; sister, Beverly Susan Evans (Robin), Barberville, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Born and raised in Volusia County, FL and the son of Robert O. Evans and Stella (Harper) Evans, he spend the majority of his life in Volusia County before relocating to Colbert, GA. Mr. Evans was a loyal employee of 37 years at Sherwood Medical/Tyco before retiring in 1998.

Should friends and family desire, contributions may be sent to the East Georgia Cancer Coalition in Athens, GA and/or T.J. and Friends Foundation in Elberton, GA.

A private service was held October 8, 2019.
