Mr. Robert Francis McAuliffe went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 30, 2014, in Ventura, California. Mr. McAuliffe was born to Jeremiah Joseph McAuliffe and Bessie Mae Beardsley McAuliffeon October 31, 1920 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Bob married the love of his life, Pauline Polizzo, on November 22, 1941.They were married for 73 years. Bob served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Bermuda.He was a carpenter by trade and built the huts that were shipped overseas for his fellow soldiers.His other capacity in the Army there in Bermuda was the first line of defense for the USA. In addition to his wife, Pauline, Bob is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Jacquelyn and James Tomlinson of Camarillo, CA, and Bobbi and Morris Butler of Dewy Rose;grandchildren:Gerri Tomlinson of Camarillo, CA,Jennifer Tomlinson of Elberton,Douglas (and Rachel) Butler of Kennesaw, and Elizabeth (and Tony) Jackson of Monroe.He also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren:Samantha and Jackie Butler of Kennesaw, and James Jackson of Monroe. There are no services per Mr. McAuliffe's wishes and his body will be cremated and entombed in Camarillo, CA.
