Robert Watson Cason

Robert Watson Cason, age 98, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Chaplain David Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Born in Cartersville, GA, Mr. Cason lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He retired from Bell Bomber and Lockheed as a Flight Line Test Mechanic after over 36 years of employment. He served as a Mason for over 70 years, most recently at the Kennesaw Masonic Lodge 33, FandAM. Mr. Cason loved playing the guitar and was a member of the Fingerstyle Pickers Club, and enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Mary Catherine Susan Watkins Cason; a son, Robert William "Billy" Cason; a granddaughter, Susan Amanda Smith; and a grandson, Robert Marshall Smith.

Survivors include three children: Dale Cason Noble of Kennesaw, GA, Pamela Cason Smith and husband, Larry E. Smith of Elberton, GA and Randy Cason and wife Cindy Cason of Powder Springs, GA; five grandchildren; and eight Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Shriner's Club to support children's hospitals.
