Roger Dale Payton

Mr. Roger Dale Payton, 74, of Harmony Rd., Elberton husband of Betty Motes Payton passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Payton was born January 7, 1943 in Anderson, SC to the late Lawrence Payton and Vera McCurley Payton. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was the retired owner-operator of Payton Granite Company.

Survivors include his wife Betty Motes Payton; daughter: Melissa Renee Payton of Elberton, GA; sons: Walter Dale Payton of Elberton, GA and Dennis Jeffery Payton of Bowman, GA; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Wednesday March 1, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at Berry Funeral Home.
