Mr. Roger Webb Bellew, 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Mr. Bellew was born on February 9, 1958, in Elberton, GA and was of the Mormon Faith. He was a graduate of Crescent High School and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Suribachi AE21 participating in Operation Desert Storm. Roger retired from Hillcrest Granite as an automatic rock polisher operator.

His interests as an outdoorsman included fishing, hunting, boating, and collecting arrowheads and crystals. He was a skilled woodcarver and played harmonica. Roger was a lifelong fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He often referred to the river as his church and the lake as his therapy. He loved cookouts, throwing horseshoes, darts and being in the nature and sunlight.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Lee Derrick Bellew; father, Ardie Julian Bellew; brother, Bobby Bellew; and grandmother, Cordelia “Dee” Beal Bellew.

He is survived by his wife, Scarlet C. Bellew; step-children: Aimee Crisp and JC Johnson; sister, Diane Bellew Watkins; brother, Rusty Bellew; and a host of family and friends who loved him.

Roger's family invites you join them in celebrating his life during a memorial service in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 1265 Washington Highway, Elberton, Georgia on Saturday, June 25th 2022 at 2pm. Roger requests in lieu of flowers please, plant a tree or tend a flower garden in his memory.
