Ronald David Perry passed away on December 8, 2020 due to complications from COVID19. He was 74 years young.
Strong willed, stubborn and determined to live his life on his own terms would be the best way to describe him. He had a strong desire to live and experience life to the fullest. He was always on the move looking for the next thing to do and always willing to help others with whatever was needed.
His passion for racing was no secret to anyone who spent time with him. And it was evident in every part of his life. He spent much of his life as a mechanic and was cared for and respected by his customers who usually became close friends.
He never knew a stranger - if you couldn’t find him, you could guarantee he was in conversation with someone at a concession stand, the grocery store, or at the dirt track.
He was a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother, a son, and a friend. Even though he is no longer with us, he left behind a part of himself in his four children. Whether it was his strong work ethic, his dedication, his strong will, or his commitment to providing for his family - he never gave up.
And though his time was cut short on earth, heaven has gained a fighter. It wouldn’t be surprising if he was behind the wheel of his Super Bee once again throwing that Hurst shifter back and smoking his tires.
We love you Dad, you will never be forgotten.
Due to COVID we will not be having a funeral at this time, but will plan a memorial service for close friends and family in the near future.
