Ronald (Ron) Wayne Cowart, husband of Elbert County native Susan Bell Cowart, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2014. He was born on April 12, 1951 in Atlanta, Georgia to Frances and John Arvil Cowart. He graduated from Therrell High School in 1969 and earned a BBA Accounting degree from West Georgia College in 1974. Ron also served in the US Air Force Reserve from 1969-1975. He went on to become the Assistant Controller of Equifax Services, Inc. and Controller of Dataflo Systems Division from 1974-1987. Ron currently was the owner of Cowart Homes, LLC where he specialized in custom built homes in the Atlanta area for 30 years. Ron is survived by his parents Frances and John Arvil Cowart; his wife Susan Bell Cowart; sons Drew, Adam, and Blake Cowart; brother John A. Cowart Jr. (Marie); nieces and nephews Natalie, Nathan (Jenifer), Jordan, Grant, Stephen, and three grand-nephews and nieces. Ron was actively involved in coaching youth baseball and soccer in North Fulton for many years. He will be lovingly remembered for his love of family and friends and for his clever sense of humor. Visitation will be on Monday, November 24, from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:00 at the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
