Ronald Wayne Jones, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Wayne Jones, Sr., 73, of Forest Road, Milledgeville, GA passed away Friday, December 6, 2019, at Eatonton Health and Rehab.

Mr. Jones was born July 27, 1946, in Macon, GA, son of the late Eva Louise Strange, and was adopted at an early age by the late Lewis Jones and Esther Cheshire Jones. He attended New Elim Baptist Church of Macon at a younger age, and was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and playing horseshoes, and "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd was his favorite song!

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald Wayne Jones, Jr. and Angela of Royston, GA, Felton Kenneth Jones and Kathy of Milledgeville, GA, and William Paul Jones and Stephanie of Athens, GA; siblings and their spouses: Billy Jones and Patsy of McRae, GA, Richard Jones and Tina of Hartwell, GA, Johnny Jones of NC, Luke Jones of Macon, GA, Anna Jones of Dublin, GA, Libby Jones Lucas of Grey, GA, and Wallace and Karen Whatley of TX; and five grandchildren: Ronald Wayne Jones, III, Ryan Jones, Trinity Jones, Brittany Reece and Chris, Melissa Bassett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Barr; brothers: Doug Jones and George Barr; and sister, Wanda Fannin.
