Ruby Standridge Johnson

Mrs. Ruby Standridge Johnson, 79, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Wilkes County to the late Hubert P. and Myrtle Pullen Standridge.She was married for over 60 years to her husband, Max A. Johnson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Robert W. Johnson of Elberton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, William Eugene “Bill” Johnson; a daughter, Pamela Johnson; and a brother, Walter “Bo” Standridge. A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Johnson’s life was held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Hicks Funeral Home was honored to care for the family of Mrs. Ruby S. Johnson.
