Sammy Joel Watkins

Mr. Sammy Joel Watkins, 65, of S. Oliver St. Elberton, GA passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Watkins was born March 25, 1959 in Toccoa, GA to Joel Carson Watkins, Sr. and Mary Nell Kellar Simmons. He was a handyman who could fix anything.

He is survived by son: Tracy Joel Watkins and his wife Stephanie Hobbs Watkins, daughter: Samantha Jo Watkins-Garcia, Stacy Jean Watkins Duerr; siblings: Marvin Roach, Christopher Simmons, Kenneth Watkins, Wanda White, Anita Gilley; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Joel Carson Watkins, Jr.
