Sandra Hulme Burgess

Sandra Ann Hulme Burgess, 71, of Anderson Highway, Elberton, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Heardmont Nursing Home. Ms. Burgess was born in Elbert County, March 7, 1942, to the late VO Hulme and Janie Warren Hulme. She was a retired textile weaver and a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Kevin Burgess of Elberton and Jane Hightower and her husband Tommy of Mansfield, GA: and siblings, Carol Ratliff of Marietta, GA, Velma Stovall, Jerry Hulme, and Edwin "Buddy" Hulme, all of Elberton. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by siblings, Joel Hulme and Homerzelle Craft. Graveside services celebrating her life will be held Thursday, July 11, at 10:00a.m. in the Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Wright officiating.
