Mrs. Sara Louise Dixon Johnson, 92, of Elberton, Georgia passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016. Mrs. Johnson was born in Elberton, daughter of the late James Warren and Martha Ann “Dee” Smith Dixon.She was the widow of Alvin Johnson, and retired from Elberton Manufacturing as a seamstress.Mrs. Johnson was a faithful and active member of Bethel E Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children: Rodger Johnson, Dale and Roger Sprouse, Nancy Fleming and Donnie Kea;seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.She also leaves behind two daughters-in-law: Gloria Johnson of Elberton, and Martha Johnson of Cummins. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy and Gerald Johnson.She was the last survivor of her immediate family, having also been preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Johnson’s life was held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel E Baptist Church, with Rev. Scott Mize officiating.A time of visitation was held Wednesday evening at Hicks Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment followed in Bethel E Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mrs. Johnson's grandsons, Phil Johnson, Mark Tolbert, Steven Adams, Jared Fleming, Brewer Johnson, and Ryan Hollingsworth serving as pallbearers.
