Shawn Sorensen

Mr. Shawn Sorensen, 50, of Chapel Drive, Elberton, husband of Emily Sorensen, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained in automobile accident. 

Mr. Sorensen was born on January 7, 1974, in Daytona, FL to Lloyd Sorensen and Barbara Ann Browning Sanders. He was a master plumber and was the owner of S&S Drain Cleaning and Repair. Shawn enjoyed fishing and hunting with his daughters, and he was such a kind hearted person. 

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Emily Gilreath Sorensen; daughters: Kristin Zander-Sorensen, Haylee Sorensen, and Shelby Ann Sorensen; father, Lloyd Sorensen; sisters: Michelle Mark and Kristina Sorensen; his parents-in-laws: Kristin and Glenn Phillips; and nieces and nephews: Cassidy Mark, Taylor Mark, and Elijah Mark.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Browning Sanders.

A celebration of Shawn's life will be held on Sunday, December 8, from 3:00-6:00p.m. at the Elberton Elks Lodge. 

Memorial services celebrating Shawn's life will be held on Monday, December 9, at 11:00a.m. at Woodlawn Methodist Church.
