Sheila Elizabeth Hudson Finley, 55, of 2356 Hudson Road, Elberton, wife of Tex Finley, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at her residence. Mrs. Finley was born in Elbert County, May 24, 1955, daughter of Donald Rayle, Sr. and Elizabeth Higginbotham Hudson. She was a member of the Fortsonia Baptist Church and worked in the granite industry. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 12 years, Tex Finley of the home; parents, Donald Rayle, Sr. and Elizabeth Higginbotham Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Anita Hudson and Billy and Donna Hudson, all of Elberton; nieces and nephews, Chris Hudson, Amanda and Justin Fortson, Wade Johnson, and Candice Johnson; great-nephews, Jackson and Madison Hudson and Will and Charlie Fortson; as well as several other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services celebrating her life will be held Sunday, May 8, at 2PM from the Fortsonia Community Cemetery with Rev. Al Butler officiating. Burial will follow. The family is at the home of her parents, 2368 Hudson Road, Elberton, and will receive friends from 5-7PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home. The family greatly appreciates all flowers, and memorials may be made in her honor to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309 Dallas, Texas 75265-0309. Pallbearers will include nephews and Sonny Cash. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.berryfh.com.
