Sherri Lynn Waldvogle

Sherri Lynn Waldvogle, age 46, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 following a brief illness. 

Sherri was born in Elberton and was currently living in Hartwell with her fiancé and youngest daughter.  She was a staple at the Dairy Queen in Hartwell where customers and co-workers alike enjoyed her gleaming smile and joyous spirit.  Sherri was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters and was known for her willful determination. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Carter.

Sherri is survived by her two daughters, Lindsey Waldvogle (fiancé, Warren Perkins) and Taylor Hester; fiancé, Tim Hester; father, Terry Rousey; sister, Christy Phillips (Adam); brothers, Chris Rousey and Tim Rousey; aunt, Patricia Dove; and step-father, Kevin Kasley (Diana); and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Friday at Hicks Funeral Home.

A celebration of Sherri’s life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Hicks with Reverend Richard Fife officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Garden of Prayer, Hartwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter. 

Arrangements for Sherri Lynn Waldvogle are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
