Thurman Boyd "Sonny" White, 67, of 210 Burton Drive, Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, husband of Judy Potter White, passed away Saturday morning, October 15, 2011, at his residence. Mr. White was born in Calhoun Falls, June 20, 1944, son of the late Phillip Thurman and Francis Cannon White. He was retired from the textile industry, a member of the Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church, member of the Emerald City R. C. Club, member of the Flying Aces of Calhoun Falls, and a member of the Top Gun Flying Club. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy Potter White of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jimmy Randall of Greenwood, South Carolina; granddaughter, Lacey Brown of Greenwood, South Carolina; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Ruby White of Calhoun Falls and Wayne and Anne White of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 3PM Monday, October 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Scott and John Ingham officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Ricky Clark, Butch Longshore, Tommy Thomasson, John Crider, Edger Worley, and Mike Alewine serving as pallbearers. The family is at the home, 210 Burton Drive, Calhoun Falls, and will receive friends from 1-3PM Monday, just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers will be greatly appreciated.
