Sophia Curlee Jodan, 41, of 2320 Deep Creek Road, Dewy Rose, wife of Jeff Jordan, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011. Mrs. Jordan was born in Elbert County on July 9, 1969. She was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church and was a nurse at The Medical Center of Elberton. Survivors include husband, Jeff Jordan of the home; children, Kayce Johnson of the home, Abby Jordan, and Jackson Jordan, both of Elberton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Dawn and Greg Noggle of Dewy Rose and Joy Brown of Elberton; and one brother, John Curlee, Jr. of Evans, Georgia. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 4PM Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Deep Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Timothy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Deep Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will be at the home, 2320 Deep Creek Road, Dewy Rose, and will receive friends from 3-4PM Friday just prior to the service in the multi-purpose building at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Pallbearers will include Richard Brady, Dayton Kurtz, Dwaine Brown, Clint Brown, Jonathan Poon, Blake Noggle, Jason Taft, and Donnie Cordell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Deep Creek Baptist Church Youth Fund, 2335 Nickville Road, Dewy Rose, Georgia 30634.
