Stephen C. Dye

Mr. Stephen C. Dye, 64, of 1945 Indian Springs Road, Elberton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Mr. Dye was born in Elbert County, son of the late Herbert Johnson Dye, Sr. andVera Johnson Dye.He celebrated 40 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dianne Cantrell Dye. Mr. Dye worked as a truck driver in the stone industry. In addition to his wife,Mr. Dye is survived by a daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Jesse Kaiser of Macon, GA.; one granddaughter, Peyton Kaiser, also of Macon. He is also survived by two brothers, Herbert Dye, Jr. of Abbeville, S.C., and Milton Dye of Elberton; two sisters, Eugenia Willis of Elberton, and Elaine Goss of Douglasville;and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Jenkins. A celebration of Mr. Dye’s life will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, June 24, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home.Rev. Jimmy Bryan and Rev. Keith Reid will be officiating.Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
