Steve Crawford Roth

Mr. Steve Crawford Roth, 71, of Carlton, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his residence. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Roth was the son of the late Charlie and Loudell Holloman Roth.Steve was a Vietnam veteran, having served his country in the United States Army.He worked in the granite industry, and also in law enforcement. He was a member of Vesta Baptist Church.One of Steve’s favorite things to do was cooking, especially for others, and he enjoyed the fellowship that came along with that. Steve is survived by a son, Steven Roth, Jr. and his wife, Sherri, of Comer; and two grandchildren, Steven Roth, III and Kasey Roth.He also leaves behind a brother, Gary Roth; a sister-in-law, Joyce Roth; and several extended family members. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey Roth and Danny Roth. A service to celebrate Mr. Roth’s life was held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Vesta Baptist Church, with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating.Interment followed in the church cemetery.A time of visitation for family and friends was held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be made to a veteran’s fund of one’s choice. Arrangements for Mr. Steve Roth were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
