Steven L. Hendrix

Steven Lewis Hendrix, 58, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Athens, Ga. Mr. Hendrix was born in Elbert County,son of Walter Lewis and Hester Lee Payne Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix is survived by a daughter, Crystal Hendrix and husband Matt, of Jacksonville, FL;two sisters: Wanda Kay Collins of Iva, SC, and Christine Fawcett of Kansas.He is also survived by his stepmother, Eleanor A. Hendrix of Elberton,and a niece, Christina Lee Sweat of Jacksonville, FL.Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his parents,and a brother James Thomas Paul Hendrix. A funeral service for Mr. Hendrix will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating.Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening, June 7, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home.Interment will be at Elmhurst Cemetery.
