Steven "Pops" Patterson

Mr. Steven "Pops" Patterson, 63, of Adamstown Road, Bowersville, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Born in East Point, he was a son of the late Paul Patterson and Daisy Pointer Patterson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Vietnam War, and a retired pre-fab-construction employee.

Survivors include his son, Edmond Patterson of Bowersville; step-daughter, Candace Hammock; step-grandchildren: Kelsey Fowler, Dawson Hammock, and Brady Hammock; siblings: David Patterson of Carnesville, Shirley Hall of Piedmont, SC, Terrell Patterson of St. Cloud, FL, Paul Patterson of Lavonia, Donna Sheppard of Thomson, Lamar Patterson of Lavonia, Patsy Callahan of Hendersonville, NC, Paula Honsare of Baylor, KS, Patti Oset of Eustis, FL, Peggy Patterson of Greenville, SC, Deborah Grimes of Lakeland, FL, and Billy Pointer of Lakeland, FL; and longtime companion, Barbara Carey.

A special recognition to all friends and caregivers, and especially: Pretty Montgomery, "Big Nate" Bond, Robert "Fat Boy" Smith, Ronda "Crazy" Brewer, and Shannon Jordan.

Memorial services will be held a later date. Burial will be in the Old Canon City Cemetery.
