Stewart Kirksey Colvard

Beloved son, brother, father, and co-worker, Stewart Kirksey Colvard passed away on July 2, 2016. He was 74 years old.

A graduate of Southern Polytechnical State University, Stewart had a very long and prolific career in civil engineering for over 50 years, the last 22 of which he spent with the international firm of Atkins Engineering. His work can be found in many cities and towns all over the state of Georgia including: Braselton, Buford, Elberton, Marietta, and Thomaston, just to name a few.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia N. Colvard, his brother, Dr. David M. Colvard, his son, David W. Colvard, his daughter, Renee P. Wells, step daughters, Becky A. Williams and Julie M. Williams, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at 1:00 pm and memorial service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Berry Funeral Home and Crematory located in Elberton, Georgia. Private inurnment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
