Sybil Summers Turner, 78, of Elberton passed away on January 1, 2011. Sybil was born March 5, 1932 in Lincoln County, Ga. called “Bull Snort”, daughter of the late George Washington and Cora Lee Turner. She was married to Leonard Samuel Summers from September 9, 1950 until March 24, 1967.She had 8 children. She was a mother and a homemaker.She was an Elbert County resident for 25 years. She was a member of the Flatwoods Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her five sons; Kenneth,Billy and Leonard Summers of Elberton, Keith Summers of Lincolnton, Bobby Summers of Nashville, TN, three daughters; Pat Summers Balchin of Elberton, Linda Summers Bunch and Brenda Summers Ball of Tipton, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Flatwoods Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Philip Hart officiating at 11:00 am.Interment will be at Flatwoods Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.hicksfuneral.com.
