Sylvia Ann Alexander

Mrs. Sylvia Ann Ward Alexander, 83 of Ruckersville Rd. Elberton, GA passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Elberton, GA on February 12, 1940 to Clifton Paul “Mutt” Ward and Mabel Gaines Ward. She was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was actively involved with the youth.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Chris and Darlene Alexander of Elberton, Brad and Kacey Alexander of Elberton; daughter and son-in-law: Paula and Dwain Harris of Lavonia; six grandchildren: Evan Alexander, Ethan Alexander, Drew Harris, Grayson Harris, Chase Alexander, Kaley Alexander and two great-grandchildren: Eli Alexander and Walt Alexander.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Walter Alexander whom she dearly loved.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Rock Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Branch Church Cemetery with Evan Alexander, Ethan Alexander, Drew Harris, Grayson Harris, Chase Alexander and Kaley Alexander serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM Monday night at Berry Funeral Home. The family will be at their respective homes.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to Rock Branch Baptist Church 2150 Coldwater Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
