Tamelia "Tammy" Ann Harper

Ms. Tamelia “Tammy” Ann Harper, 61, of Johns Creek, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, with her husband by her side. A native of Elberton, Ms. Harper was the daughter of the late Tommy T. and Martha Ann Dewberry Harper and the granddaughter of the late Thomas and Corinne Thornton Harper.After losing both of her parents at a young age, she was raised by her paternal grandmother, Corinne. Ms. Harper was a graduate of Samuel Elbert Academy and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Lander University.She was the Co-founder and Vice Chairman of Southern Horizon Bank in Stockbridge, Georgia. Ms. Harper was a long standing member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia which continuously awarded her for Excellence over a 24 year period.She enjoyed playing golf and loved cooking. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Paul Wilburn Head, of Johns Creek;sister and brother-in-law, KimandTim Bray, ofElberton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy “Dooley” and Myra Hicks Harper, Jr., of Anderson, SC and Kyle Presley and Teresa Rice Harper, of Hartwell, Uncle and Aunt, Horace & Gail Daniel Harper, of Elberton and Aunt Charlotte Harper Higginbotham, of Elberton and many nieces and nephews together with great nieces and nephews.
