Teresa Elaine Stowers

Ms. Teresa Elaine Stowers, 63, of Pressman Road, Elberton, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at The Medical Center of Peach County in Byron.

Teresa was born in Elberton on December 22, 1955, daughter of the late Raymond Neal Stowers and Annie Mae Bridges Stowers. She was a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church and formerly attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a corrections officer having retired from the State of Georgia.

Survivors include her children: Russell and Bridgett Hunt of Byron and Cassie Gowder of Royston; grandchildren: Grayson Bennett, Logan Bennett, Kamron Standring, and Kohen Standring; siblings: Ray Stowers of Hartwell and Joanne Dyal of Elberton; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.

The family is at the residence of Brooke and Ken McDowell, 1117 Coldwater Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Wednesday.
