Terry Alonzo Scarborough

Mr. Terry Alonzo Scarborough, 41, of Petersburg Road, Elberton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital with his family by his side.

Terry was born in Anderson on November 3, 1977, the fourth son of Robert Morris Scarborough and the late Scarlette Jane Parham Scarborough. He was a graduate of Elbert County High School and a top polisher having worked in the granite industry. Terry was an avid fisherman who especially enjoyed trips to Santee Cooper.

Survivors include his parents, Morris and Brenda Scarborough; and brothers: Amos Buice Scarborough, Robert Morris “Bobby” Scarborough, Jr., and Travis Lee Scarborough.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents: Jim Easton and Ophelia “Dot” Parham and Robert L. and Frances Scarborough.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Mr. Joey Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family is at the residence of Morris and Brenda Scarborough and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 1:00-1:45p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.

Pallbearers will include Tony Bergeron, Willie Mayhue, Sham Parham, Doug Grimes, Mark Bradford, and Randy Suttles. Honorary pallbearers will include Byron Martin and Sean Scarborough.
