Terry Dock Dalton

Terry D. Dalton ran his final run and crossed the finish line as a winner at Jesus feet on Monday, December 23, 2024.

Terry was the owner of 3D Tops. He had a lifelong passion for stock car and drag racing. He was an extremely gifted cabinet maker. He invested many years in manufacturing at Eaton Corporation and Caterpillar. Though cars and racing were his passion, he also enjoyed UGA football. Most of all adored his family and loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Dock Dalton.

Left to cherish his memory include his precious mother, Edna Louise Dalton; beloved wife of 39 years, Tammy; daughter and apple of his eye, Brittany Fortson and her husband, Brandon; awesome grandson, Lane Darrell Fortson; adored granddaughter, Penelope Camille Fortson; brother, Jeff Dalton and his wife, Windy; nephew, Wyatt Dalton; niece, Lanie Dalton; mother-in-law, Patricia Dove; father-in-law, Michael “Skip” Partain and his wife, Sherryl; his special furry four-legged son, Zip; and so many friends.

Terry will be remembered for his sense of humor and loving spirit.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

A funeral service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, in the Pruitt Funeral Chapel. All who have hot rods, show cars, etc. are invited to drive them in the procession as Terry’s last grand car show to the interment that will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Terry’s honor to the charity of one’s choice.
