Mrs. Thelma Floyd Lunsford, 87, of Elberton, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Nancy Hart Nursing Center. Thelma was born in Hart County on June 30, 1927 to the late Harmon J. and Ruby Ray Floyd. She was married to the late Jack Watson Lunsford, Sr. for 61 years. Thelma was lovingly called Nannie by family and friends. She was a long time member of Liberty Congregational Church. Thelma thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo at Nancy Hart Nursing Center. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings: Imogene Brown, Walter Floyd, DeWitt Floyd, Lester Floyd and Hugh Floyd; a daughter: Retha Turman; grandchildren: Allyson Barnes and Dee Tiller and a great great-grandchild Clay Lunsford. Thelma is survived by her sons: Jack (Bucky) Lunsford of Starr, S.C. and Ricky (Lynn) Lunsford of Dewy Rose; and a daughter Peggy Ann Tiller of Hull; sisters: Virginia Brown, Joyce Scarborough, and Ellen Ramey;brothers: William Floyd and Melvin Floyd She is also survived by,15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Lunsford will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Congregational Church.
