Thomas Walton Howell

Mr. Thomas Walton Howell, 92, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020. A native of Hart County, he was the son of the late Thomas Judson and Ada Brown Howell.Mr. Howell retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers.He was a faithful member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. One week before Mr. Howell’s passing, June Richardson Howell, his beloved wife of 68 years preceded him in death.He was also preceded by sisters, Ruby Nell Gaines, Grace Veal, and Hertha Robertson; a brother, Cullen Howell; and a sister-in-law, Valeria Howell. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Donnie Caldwell and Phyllis and Mike Thompson, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Jessica Wallis (Ja), of Elberton, Zack Caldwell (Melissa) of Cuthbert, Nick Thompson of Elberton and Ben Thompson (Keri) of Bowman; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Kirkland and several nieces & nephews. Graveside services were held on Friday, November 27th at 2:00pm in Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating.Ben Thompson, Zack Caldwell, Ja Wallis, Jackson Wallis, Bobby Howell and Tommy Howell served as pallbearers. Arrangements for Mr. Thomas Walton Howell were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
