Mr. Thomas Russell Huff, 82, of Elberton, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Huff was the son of the late George Thomas and Birt Thomas Huff. He was a long time member of Falling Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Huff is survived by his wife Roosaand his children; Sharon (Donald) Harris, of Bowman, Douglas (Deborah) Huff, of Elberton, Sandra (Jimmy) Mize, of Hartwell, Danny (Pam) Huff, of Elberton, Becky (Sam) Sims, of Elberton, Ricky (Paige) Huff, of Royston, Paul (Joyce) Huff, of Elberton, Tracie (Greg) Smith, of Elberton and Amy (Luther) Evans, of Elberton. He is also survived by two sisters; Hazel Mattox, of Carlton and Rachel Baker, of Hartwell. He also leaves behind twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, George Herbert Huff and a sister, Opal Johnson. A service to celebrate Mr. Huff’s life was held Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Reverends Dwight Morgan and Douglas Huff officiating.
