Thomas Richard Jarvis died by suicide February 14, 2024, in Bluffton, S.C., where he was living and working as a plumber for RS Andrews.
Thomas was born in Atlanta March 21, 1999, and spent most of his life living in Roswell, GA. He was a graduate of Georgia Charter High School and had worked in various jobs in the Roswell area before becoming an apprentice plumber with RS Andrews beginning in November 2023.
He is survived by his father, Richard Jarvis and step-mother Amy Jarvis of Elberton, GA, his mother Janie McQueen and step-father Josh of Volcano, HI, his grandmother Mary Gettys McDonald of Hartsville, SC, and his siblings Allen Jarvis (Rachel Laney) of Atlanta, Aurora Jarvis of Roswell, Sophia McQueen, and Jon McQueen, of Volcano, HI. He also leaves behind his beloved canine companions Forrest and Teddy who worked hard to help him through the darkest hours of his life.
Thomas was a generous and fragile soul who fought long and hard against mental illness before his death. He leaves behind a grieving family and group of friends who all fought alongside him and prayed for him constantly and fervently. He was a loyal friend and always reaching out from his pain to help others.
A service celebrating the life of Thomas Jarvis will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Two o'clock from Cokesbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Jarvis officiating. The family will greet friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
