Thomas Nelson

Mr. Thomas Nelson, age 57, of Dewy Rose passed away July 23, 2009. A son of the late Howard Thomas Nelson and Dorothy Emily Goble, Mr. Nelson worked in the granite industry as a top polisher, truck driver and maintenance technician for thirty five years.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Sanford and grandson, Joshua Howard. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Connie Nelson; daughters Amanda (Chad) Arganbright, Brandy (Danny) Arganbright of Royston, Kelly Davis of Dewy Rose, Talitha Nelson; sons, Patrick Nelson of Bishop and Ben (Stacey) Stafford of Jasper; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers Eddie Sanford, Teddy Wayne, and Ricky Nelson, all of Ellijay; sisters Charlotte Osbourne, of Chattanooga, TN and Teresa Allen of Ellijay, along with several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Mr. Nelson will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Purvis officiating. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Thomas Nelson.
