Thomas Russell Peterman, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Russell “Tom” Peterman, Sr., 83, of Hardwood Road, Lexington, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville, with his sister by his side.

Mr. Peterman was born in the Stephens Community of Oglethorpe County on November 9, 1936, son of the late Benjamin Woodie Peterman and Vernon Catherine Cramer Peterman. He was a Sales Manager having retired from Sylvania Electric and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include four sons: Eric Peterman, Scott Peterman, Greg Peterman, and Russ Peterman; one sister, Patsy Peterman Cruce; four brothers: Robert Peterman, Jerry Peterman, Bill Peterman, and Ralph Peterman; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Edith Peterman Hammond Craft, Alma Peterman Amason, and Allen Peterman.

A memorial service is being planned, and those details will be announced once finalized.
